O'Connor Report Special Contest Edition
First, we want to thank everyone for the wonderful response to the contest. It is wonderful and heartwarming.
As we said in the contest, we want to give a voice and a face to health care and have a dialogue about what a system of health care should do. The only way we could think to do that is to offer a contest with our own money because someone has to put their money where their mouth is. I am at liberty to do that.
What happened that I did not anticipate is the wonderful responses. I have always said the American public cares about health care and are thoughtful enough to think about it. And, I was, right.
I have received so many calls and so many e-mails. With such wonderful ideas and comments, they need to see the light of day!
So, we are having a contest special edition.
NEW Letter of Intent deadline: April 15, 2003
Application deadline: July 1st, 2003
Contestants and Contest Presentations: October, 2003 (date to be determined with judges)
Join me in welcoming some fresh voices. These are NOT contest entrants, they are people like you who think about health care and what it could be for our country.
